SMH Spray Tak

An Aerosol Adhesive designed for use in many applications including asbestos removal

Spray Tak is a heavy duty aerosol adhesive which incorporates a variable spray pattern and gives exceptionally strong adhesion to a wide range of demanding uses.
Spray Tak finds considerable use for bonding foam to a wide range of surfaces and is therefore ideally suited to the furniture, automotive and flooring industries, in addition to packaging, laminating and decorative trades.
It is also ideal for bonding polythene sheeting to itself and to create containment areas during asbestos removal and treatment.
Spray Tak is highly recommended for use on foam rubber, card and cardboard, paper, fabrics (including carpet backing) wood and plastic (NB not suitable for PVC).

It is an HSE requirement that all asbestos removal contracts are undertaken with dust suppression techniques, complying with Regulation 8 in the approved code of practice.

SMH Controlled Multi-Point Wetstrip Injection Systems are now available with multi-point injection needles and a full range of accessories to meet all asbestos contractors individual requirements.

Wet strip liquid is forced behind the outer layer of wall cladding or pipe work insulation to enable easy and safe removal of the asbestos contamination.
Excess surfactant is pumped back into the system to keep the mixture from settling. An alarm sounds and the pump stops when the Wet Strip Liquid runs out.

X-Tex Artex Removal Gel

Suitable for easily removing artex and all Textured Coatings.
X-Tex Artex Removal Gel is an excellent cost effective and efficient water-based Artex remover. Once the gel is applied it works by being absorbed into and softens the Artex textured coating allowing the Artex to be scraped off easily using a paint scraper. X-Tex Artex Removal Gel is suitable for removing all types of Artex and all other applied textured coatings including all paints and wallpapers.

Application:
Easy and simple to use, just apply a generous coating with a pasting brush or scraper, the gel has to penetrate the surface and be absorbed by the Artex, this time period will vary dependant on the painted surface. Typically leave for 1 hour but results can be seen after 30 minutes, we advise leaving the Gel for longer periods to soften the Artex, leaving overnight provides amazing results the next day, the Artex is reduced to a soft mush. Remove the Artex with a normal paint scraper, care should be taken not to damage the plaster. Before applying to the whole wall or ceiling try a small area first to establish length of time for removal and colour fastness. If a second application is necessary then leave for a longer period of time, if leaving overnight please ensure the gel does not dry out. It provides amazing results you will wonder why you have not used it before.
Coverage:
2-4 square meters per litre.
5 Litres will remove approximately 10-20 square meters, depending on the thickness of the coatings being used.

SMH Smoke Canisters
Simply screw into your smoke machine and is ready to use.
The canister's water based smoke is heated and is released as a non-toxic vapour, this is ideal for leak testing in asbestos removal enclosures where dense smoke is required.
Once operating temperature is reached the smoke_machine is portable and can be carried from room to room making smoke as required and without a lead.

Manufactured with a steel casing, black powder coated, the SMH1 is both lightweight ,robust and easy to use. Just connect it to an electrical supply, switch on, wait 5 minutes and press the button for thick dense smoke. The SMH1 is both lightweight and compact. The pressurised smoke fluid within the canister will produce instant dry safe white smoke at the press of a button. The smoke does not linger and does not readily disperse, making it ideal for leak testing of polythene enclosure.
